In case you were wondering where the heck I have been and why my CD, even tho its all recorded and mixed, isn't done....
I have been in Microsoft study hell for the past four months. I have been thru this before, but not quite like this. Basically I had to pass this one exam, even tho I had not a tremendous interest in it. Well, I mean, I do need to keep up with my certifications, this is how I make my money after all. And this was a big deal, since it saves my company money. This test thing was a monkey on my back - I mean I failed it twice before, and in all the times I have been taking these tests, that had never happened before. So I am free!!!!!
Of course, I have taken a hour or so to play around with the new Reaktor, and I am quite enthused about it, just like I am with the new P5. Its hard to choose amongst such toys.
Plus - today is the first day of my much needed vacation, and while I could just lock myself down here in the Operating Room (my studio) for two weeks, I need just as much to get out in the sun and remember what its like.
So the wife unit, plus one of her sisters from the other Portland in Maine, plus the brother in law and a couple of their kids are hitting the Oregon coast.
It may not be parardise, but its damn close - much closer than say Kawai'i, which has to be the most beautiful place on this earth.
But I digress - I will be back and will finish my disk!!!!!! - and soon too. And have yourself a good summer!
